At work again!

I am painting the last picture to be hung in the Parish St. Cipriano in Rome, for the celebration of Lent and Easter.

Now, the subject is the 14th Station of VIA CRUCIS, when Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus are deposing the corpse of Jesus into the sepulchre.

Yesterday, I was defining the design, with acrylic colors very light, without any medium but water. Today, I am going to paint the background, which will be darker to give the impression of the crypta, where only a ray of light steps in.

I am still elaborating how I can get the plasticity of the three men... It will be an exciting challenge!
