Calendario dell'Avvento - Stillate, o cieli

Stillate cieli dall'alto…🌌
Drop down, ye heavens, from above…
(December 14th, 2016)

“Stillate, O cieli, dall'alto e lasciate piovere il giusto.
Amore e verità si incontreranno,
Giustizia e pace si baceranno.
Verità germoglierà dalla terra
E giustizia si affaccerà dal cielo.”
(Salmo 84) 

🇮🇹 Oggi, il folletto va a cavallo di una stella, in un cielo stellato, e tira fuori la lingua attendendo che una goccia luminosa gli calmi la sete.

Ma dietro questo, c’è l’invocazione di Isaia e poi del salmo 84 alla richiesta di giustizia, per chi è stato vittima indifesa di una violenza sulla Terra.

Allora, in questa giornata d'Avvento, dedicata a chi ha sete di giustizia, ci si augura che almeno il cielo non rimanga sordo, se le leggi degli uomini non riescono ad arginare il male e la sofferenza che ne consegue. Il problema nasce quando una società non  è più capace di proteggere le minoranze e le fasce della popolazione più bisognose di cura, quando l’interesse e la corruzione diventano gli unici criteri di azione. Inoltre, nel concetto di giusto o sbagliato, si aggiunge anche avere la facoltà di  distinguere cosa rende colpevoli. Si può addirittura perdere il senso di responsabilità, sia nella vita privata sia nel vivere sociale, se si agisce senza pensare agli effetti delle nostre azioni.

Molte dottrine incitano al perdono. Ma se la propria coscienza non demorde perché non sa più distinguere cosa sia danno per gli altri, come si può offrire il perdono a chi nemmeno immagina di doverlo chiedere? 

🇬🇧 “Drop down, ye heavens, from above and let the skies pour down righteousness.
Love and truth will meet together,
Righteousness and Peace will kiss each other.
Truth will sprout out from the ground
And Righteousness will look out from the sky.” 
(Isaiah)

Today, the little guy is riding a star, in a luminous night sky, and he shows his tongue out, waiting for a bright drop falls and quench his thirst. 

Behind this scene, though, there is the Isaiah’s invocation about some justice for the ones who are undefended victims of any violence on Earth. 

In this day of the Advent, dedicated to whom are thirsty of righteous, the wish is at the least the sky listens to that prayer, if the laws of human kind cannot stem evil and the following sorrow. The question comes out when society results incapable to protect minorities and its needy groups, when greed and corruption become the only criteria to act. Moreover, in the concept of being right or wrong, it adds too the faculty to distinguish what makes people guilty or not. It could be lost even the sense of responsibility, both in private and social life, if anyone acts without thinking of the effects of each behavior. 

Many beliefs urges to forgiveness. But if the bad conscience neither suffers, because it cannot distinguish anymore what it might damage someone else, well, how can forgiveness be allowed to those who neither imagine they should beg for?
