Studio per Pin-Up - Marilyn

🇮🇹Continuo il mio lavoro sulle Pin-Up e ovviamente Marilyn Monroe è quella che maggiormente incarna questo stile. 

Per me, le pose, i capelli, i costumi da bagno e le scarpe alte sono il tratto distintivo delle Pin-Up.
Pensare che per molti illustratori di questo soggetto, l'emblema della categoria è Bettie Page, fotomodella degli anni '50, con fragettina nera, tacchi a spillo e un atteggiamento forte ed erotico. Per altri, invece, il termine Pin-Up è indissolubilmente legato alla "rossa Atomica": Rita Hayworth nei panni di Gilda. Infatti, questa definizione di ragazze copertina, ammiccanti e fantasiose viene dalle pagine di giornali erotici che i soldati statunitensi al fronte attaccavano con le puntine - "pin", appunto - sui muri dei loro cameroni o dentro le ante degli armadietti, durante la II Guerra Mondiale o quella di Corea. Gilda prese il soprannome di Atomica, perché era stata dipinta proprio sul terribile ordigno nucleare, lanciato sulle città del nemico Giappone. 

Ho sempre trovato l'associazione con la diva Hayworth infausto e fuori luogo. Sì, perché queste prosperose e vitali ragazze non hanno nulla a che vedere con le sofferenze, le miserie e l'orrore di un conflitto. Piuttosto, rappresentano la gioia di vivere, proprio come il sorriso di Marilyn, così dolce e solare. 

L'originale è di una pubblicità famosa bibita. Anche l'artista ha "ritoccato" una classica foto della Monroe sorridente e ha giocato con la bottiglietta di vetro. Io ho eliminato la parte commerciale, perché lo studio che m'interessa è rendere la mia bella Marilyn che propone: "Bevi qualcosa!" 🍹

🇬🇧 I am still studying Pin-Up girls and, of course, Marilyn Monroe is the best to embody this style. 

For me, her pose, hair-style, bathing suit and high heeled shoes are the peculiarity for Pin-Up Girls.   And yet, for many illustrators of this subject, the icon of the category is Bettie Page, model of the 1950s, with her black fringe, stiletto heels and a strong, erotic attitude. For others, instead, the name Pin-Up is indissolubly referred to the "Atomic Red One": Rita Hayworth in the role of Gilda. Actually, this definition of these colorful cover-girls with winks, comes from erotic magazines which US soldiers in mission abroad, were used to hanging with "pins" on the walls of billets and inside the doors of their locker rooms, at Second World War and Korean conflict. That's why Gilda got the nickname of Atomic, because she was painted just over that horrible, nuclear airplane, against Japanese cities. 
I have always found inappropriate that inglorious association with Hayworth, the movie star. Yes, because those lively and flourishing girls has nothing to do with sufferances, misery and horror of the war! Rather, they represent the joy of life, just as Marilyn's smile, so sunny and sweet. 
The original design is an advertising for a popular drink. Also the illustrator digitally revised some classical photo of the smiling Monroe and added the stylish, glass bottle. I took off the commercial thing in my study of Pin-Up, because it was important to focus the attention on my beauty Marilyn, who says: 
"Have a drink?"
